Memorial Day Sunday

This coming Sunday, May 27, will be a church holiday, and the day before a national holiday. Pentecost was the day that the Holy Spirit descended upon a little band of Jesus’ followers and empowered them to become His church.

This will also be Memorial Day weekend Sunday, and we will be mindful of our blessings of freedom—including the freedom of worship—that we have in our nation.

My sermon will be titled “The Critical Moment,” and be based on Acts 16:1-5.

Worship at 8:30 will include the Sacrament of Communion. This will be the final Sunday for later worship at 10:30, as the times will be 8:30 and 10:00 on June 3.  We will have extra time for fellowship in coffee hour conversation between services and following the 10:30 service.
